Mission Adventures

Tenderloin, San Francisco

Our Outreach Department hosts teams for short-term outreach in the city of San Francisco. Our hope is to see transformation in both San Francisco and our teams. We specialize in youth teams who want to learn how to serve their own communities with greater vision and hope. This program equips the team with opportunities to serve through prayer walks, service projects and sharing the Gospel.

IGNITE

Because Justice Matters, San Francisco

IGNITE is a ministry of Because Justice Matters for middle school and high school-aged youth growing up in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. This is specifically geared to develop and empower youth aging 13-18 by calling out their God-given leadership capacities and prophetic voices to be agents of change in their communities, peer groups and beyond. Through holistic coaching, service and life-giving, positive community, we inspire girls to envision a bright future and build pathways to walk alongside them every step of the way. Hope and courage are two of the most powerful tools for a thriving future and we exist to ignite both hope and courage in the lives of young people growing up in the inner city.

In 2023, we are piloting a social enterprise model centering system-effected youth through pop-up pizza shops. Click to learn more about both our existing ministries and new ministries launching next year!

Better Bayview

Bayview, San francisco

A vibrant neighborhood that has gone through lots of changes where some have fallen through the cracks. We are reaching out to these young people and helping them through the challenges, difficulties and obstacles they face in ther midst of gentrification and poverty.
