It all started by posting an advertisement on craigslist for anyone in the neighborhood to come and share a pastry and coffee at a local cafe. Neighbors responded and started meeting on a weekly basis. That has grown into true friendships and community in this eclectic neighborhood where once the beatnik movement thrived and has been the center of Italian immigrants who have made their fortunes in San Francisco. We continue loving our neighbors over meals, in coffee shops, restaurants, in homes and through volunteer service in this colorful neighborhood full of art, coffee, restaurants and over 20,000 people.

If you have a team and are looking for ways to engage God deeper, then this might be the place for you! SF City Outreach offers multiple avenues for short term teams and groups to partner with the the TTOC location. Our Staff integrates training in prayer, service, and evangelism with activities centered on those ideas, many of which involve serving our overlooked neighborhood. We also take care of all of the logistics (such as food, housing, and ministry transportation) so your leaders have quality time with their group. Our aim is to challenge and equip followers of Jesus to serve our city and send others back to their own communities with greater vision and hope.
